Doodles are almost as good as the internet on a slow day.

And good news!

If you didn’t know I work at a gas station, and I’ve had this job for 4 years, and been “full time” for nearly 3 years. The company I work for is a medium sized Co-op that owns 7 convenience stores and a propane delivery company. Well last month the company bought a new store, in the next town over, about 12 miles away, and I found out I got the Store Manager position there. Which means guaranteed 40hr/week, working 8-4 Mon-Fri, as well as a substantial bump in pay. As well as a challenge, a desperately needed change of pace, and learning a lot of new things, because I’ve never actually had a management position before. We take over the store on the 20th so the next few weeks are going to be hella busy. I’m looking forward to it

Back in January I was 90% sure I’d be getting this job and it was the main reason I decided to buy a nicer car. Mostly because my commute just went from 2 miles round trip to 24, but also it makes me look a bit more grown up.

Thanks. It is annoying that I have to go to a competitor’s car wash because we don’t have one. I could higher some one to do detailing in the summer, but My new store doesn’t have enough room for a hand washing station.
